dated for 1757, with round 46in. barrel, no provision for sights, moulded band at breech, solid top-tang, borderline engraved lock signed 'EDGE' and marked with a crown over 'GR' device, walnut handrail three-quarter stock (extensive filled worm holes, fore-end replaced), flat top to comb, the wrist with brass escutcheon, the underside of stock forwards of the finial carved 'P.C.' over 'No7', original brass furniture, no swivels and fitted with a later iron ramrod,
